Statues

The work consists of three wooden sculptures, each representing Ulysses gazing at the sky, at the land and at the horizon of the sea; small gestures that contain the fate of the heroic character. The sculptures created by Francesco Paris are completely black to symbolize his presence through the shadow that, although intangible, recalls the presence of the hero.
It is these writings and legend that inspired the artist’s work; imposing sculptures of two and a half meters emerging from our location in the famous Piazza del Comune. All this to remind us that we are history, mythology and art.
